Your helmet is a very important aspect of riding. There are two aspects of using a helmet

bull.jpg (4534 bytes) Safety Aspect

Ensure a proper snugly fit of the helmet, the helmet should not be loosely fit.
As you wear the helmet you should hold the helmet with its Harness Stretched in opposite directions and put the Helmet on with adjusting  your face to ensure proper vision and then adjust the helmet to fit snugly.
Ensure that the helmet is safety hooked before you start to ride your two-wheeler.
After 6 months, you must replace your visor to ensure optimal vision and lessen the stress on your precious eyes.
God for bidden if you meet with an accident and your helmet takes a shock on the road, you should replace the helmet, even if on the outer surface it seems OK.

Usually in a major shock to the helmet, the ABS helmet would break absorbing the shock to the maximum.  In such shocks of if a plastic helmet does not break, the impact is passed on to the head.  It would be like wearing an Iron helmet. However it is the Fibre Glass Helmets that can withstand maximum shock and do not break, instead it may get deshaped because of it’s inherent ability to absorb maximum shock.

The Helmet you wear should match your bike / 2 wheeler or at least your style.

You should wipe your helmet with a soft cloth on a regular basis, wash the outside with mild soap, without using any chemical. The advanced models with replaceable and washable interiors allow you to keep your Helmet fresh regularly.
You must keep your visor clean using a soft cloth to ensure proper vision.

Remember, as you wear the helmet it becomes your face.  Ensure that your face looks its best.
